Even early man, over 1.5 million years ago, already sensed the value of quartz for tools and talismans, as is shown by an analysis of over 100 000 personal possessions found at the excavation sight of the Peking man in China, of which the overwhelming majority and preference was quartz.

A clear, transparent form of quartz vibrates with the stimulating male force, while the milky quartz vibrates with the more gentle and receptive feminine aspects.
